Stuart is currently studying Tuba at the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of Patrick Harrild, ex-principal Tuba of the London Symphony Orchestra. Over the past 4 years, Stuart has appeared as principal Tuba of the RAM Symphony Orchestra and Manson ensemble, with Semyon Bychkov, Oliver Knussen and Edward Gardner. He also recently appeared in a solo capacity with the London Sinfonietta and Manson Ensemble playing Taurus from Stockhausen’s ‘Zodiac’. Stuart has had the privilege of winning the Worship Company of Musician Brass Ensembles Prize, Malcolm Arnold Fantasies Competition and the Muir Mathieson Solo Competition. Stuart is a founding member of the quintet, London Metropolitan Brass; and the contemporary music group, 4|12 Collective.
