Winnie and The Rockettes are a New Wave Funk band based in London that mix gritty rock grooves with cosmic soulful synths. The band have graced stages with Chaka Khan, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Comet is Coming, Mosego, Maisha and many more. Having previously headlined Ronnie Scotts, COLOURS HOXTON, Pop Brixton and more, the band were due to headline at the Sackler Space Roundhouse as well as Gilles Peterson's We Out Here festival but were unfortunately cancelled due to Covid-19.

Since inception, we have solely written, produced and performed our own material independently. And as we slowly gained momentum at the start of 2020, unfortunately the current circumstances halted our plans and therefore hugely impacted our live income which was the main source of income. Thankfully, the MOBO Help Musicians Fund came at the right time as we have been planning to release our debut EP and grow our audience not only in venue but online, this support has ensured we will be able to carry on and not lose all the hard work we have built up until this point. We will be attending business advice sessions to help us and our small team gain the skills we need to keep growing. We are forever grateful for Help Musicians' support!
