MOBO Help Musicians Amplified
12-month career accelerator designed for musicians creating music of Black origin

MOBO Help Musicians Amplified is for musicians creating music of Black origin looking to take the next step in their career or expand their work.
If you’re a producer, DJ or musician creating or performing music of Black origin without the resources to pursue a career-changing opportunity, then this support might be for you.
In partnership with the MOBO Trust, we have invested nearly £1 million into funding, mentoring, and hands-on support to date — helping musicians creating music of Black origin turn ambition into action. And we are just getting started.
MOBO Help Musicians Amplified is a 12-month programme that enables you to connect with other musicians, access business advice, build out your industry networks and insights, and receive funding towards your own music.
To be eligible for this Award, you must:
- Be a working musician who has made at least 40% of your income from music over the past two years. Musicians with a long-term health condition and/or disability that impacts their ability to work as a musician will just need to show some income from music within the past 2 years.
- Be aged 18 or over, live in the UK, with the right to live and work in the UK and with a UK bank account.
- Not have more than £10,000 savings or access to other capital that could fund your planned activity.
Full eligibility criteria can be found here. We strongly recommend you read these before making an application.
Beyond this, you must deliver the activities we’re funding within 12 months of receiving the money. You must also have control over one or more aspects of your career, i.e., self-managing, self-releasing or self-producing
This support is categorised as Band 4.
