The Award will support recipients to grow a sustainable career in electronic music

We’re pleased to announce that applications for the next round of our Electronic Music Award, delivered in association with DJ Mag, are now open.

This Award provides a range of support to help electronic musicians who are ready to take the next step in their careers. If you’re a producer, DJ or musician working in any electronic genre and need support to pursue a career-changing opportunity, this could be for you.

Over 12 months, Award recipients will receive:

    • Up to £3,000 towards your own music project
    • 121 Business Advice from industry experts
    • Online meet ups with other awardees and industry guests
    • An invitation to a one-day peer and industry mixer event in London

The Award is open to UK-based musicians aged 18 and over who:

  • Have made at least 40% of their income from music over the past two years (or some income, if living with a long-term health condition or disability)
  • Have under £10,000 in savings
  • Are self-releasing, self-producing or self-managing in electronic music
  • Are committed to completing their supported activity within 12 months

We welcome applications from musicians working in all electronic genres, from house, techno, grime and drum and bass, to ambient, amapiano, UK garage and beyond.

Please read our eligibility guidance and application information carefully before applying. If you want to hear from us directly, we’re holding a dedicated Get To Know Us session about this award on 11 August from 6 – 7pm. You can sign up for this free online session here.

We’re thrilled to be partnering once again with DJ Mag to deliver this Award. With a heritage that stretches back over 30 years, DJ Mag is one of electronic music’s best-loved brands. A number of artists will have the opportunity for their projects to be platformed by DJ Mag, offering valuable editorial coverage to help them grow their audience.

We look forward to hearing from electronic artists across the UK, and supporting another cohort of awardees to build sustainable careers. Applications are open from Monday 4 August at 9am to Friday 29 August at 5pm.
